Add what went into the pot and how much. Get calories and macros per serving, per 100 g cooked, and for the portion on your plate.
Recipe calorie calculator
Weigh the finished pot, minus the pot itself, to get calories per 100 g and for any portion you dish up.
Per serving420 kcal, 41 g proteinHow it works
Each ingredient's calories, protein, carbs and fat per 100 g come from USDA FoodData Central, the same table behind the recipe pages on this site. The calculator scales them to your amounts, adds them up and divides by your servings.
Enter ingredients as you weigh them before cooking: dry rice, dry pasta, raw chicken. Water that cooks off or soaks in changes the weight but not the calories, so raw weights give the true total.
Servings or cooked weight
Servings is fine when you split a pot evenly. When portions vary, weigh the finished food without the pot. The calculator then gives calories per 100 g cooked, and any portion is its weight times that figure.
The chili example weighs 1,300 g cooked, so it comes to about 130 kcal per 100 g, and a 350 g bowl is about 450 kcal.
What changes the number most
Oil, butter and ghee. A tablespoon of oil is about 120 kcal, so a free pour can add more than the vegetables in the pot. Measure fats with a spoon, or weigh the bottle before and after.
After that: the cut of meat, whether rice and pasta are weighed dry or cooked, and sauces, cheese and nuts added at the end.

Recipe calorie calculator: questions people ask
How do I calculate the calories in a homemade recipe?
Add up the calories of every ingredient at its raw weight, then divide by the number of servings. For uneven portions, weigh the cooked food and divide the total by that weight to get calories per gram or per 100 g.
Should I use raw or cooked weights?
Raw, for everything you enter as an ingredient. Cooking changes weight through water, not calories. Use the cooked weight only once, for the finished dish, to work out calories per 100 g.
How do I weigh the finished dish?
Weigh the empty pot before cooking, or move the food into a weighed bowl. Subtract the container's weight from the total. Most kitchen scales have a tare button that does this for you.
Why does my pasta or rice have so few calories per 100 g after cooking?
Because it has absorbed water. 100 g of dry pasta is about 370 kcal and becomes roughly 200 to 250 g cooked. If a nutrition label gives a dry figure, weigh your portion dry.
Can I use it for Indian dishes like dal, curry and roti?
Yes. The list includes atta, besan, sattu, dal and lentils, paneer, ghee and the common vegetables and spices. Weigh the cooked pot, then weigh a katori of it once so you know your usual portion.
How accurate is it?
As accurate as your weights. The ingredient values are typical figures, and brands, varieties and cooking all move the real number a little. Weighing fats and grains carefully matters more than anything else.
What if an ingredient is not in the list?
Use the closest match, or read the per-100 g values from the packet. In the GymTribe app you can create your own food with any nutrition values, or ask AI to fill them from a description and check them before saving.
How do I log the recipe after I have worked it out?
In GymTribe, save it as one of your own foods with its serving size and nutrition per serving. Next time you eat it, it is one tap from Your foods, and the day's calories and macros update.
